Blue Wayuu bag

I like the result of a Wayuu bag. I have made a few of these now. I like to make them for my shop on etsy. This time I chose blue and white for a bit of difference. The stitches inside the back looks like that because I don't want anything to show from the front. I have made another one with similar pattern but this one is different. I like the combinations of colours I used for this bag. I am pleased with the result and I make everything with so much love that sometime it is hard for me to part from them. I say to myself then, that I can always make another one. I am also pleased that some people will chose to buy them. Since I sold one of these I wanted it to replace it so here it is.

Amigurumi sheep

My daughter ordered me to make her two lamb, sheep to give them to her boys. I searched how to make the bubble stitch which I had and idea but wanted to know the technic how to put them in between each bubble instead of on top of each other. I watched some videos on you tube and I found a few that I liked. So I started with my toy. I wanted to use cotton and she kind of picked the colours too. I made up my own pattern as I go. I always start by writing but some where along the way I loose track of it. It could be because I could have unpicked a couple of rows. I loose the mark and then I will stop writing it because it might not match the correct stitches and rows. this toy I started by making the legs and joined the body to it. The head, ears and hands were separate. I wanted to avoid some sewing as much as I could to make it nice. I made three altogether and here you can have a look.

Cat and Elephant bags

I thought of making these shapes of bags for teenagers. The pictures I have are a little too big, I reckon, so I think that they are good for adults especially the tote bag. I am making another different one I think it won't be for teenagers either. I think it will be the same size as the cat's bag. I am enjoying making them. I still have to come up with the right measurements though. I wanted to introduce another colour in the back ground but I changed my mind. You do use a lot of yarn for making these bags but the result is amazing. Here are the pictures of the bags.

Amigurumi Bunny Doll

I made this small bunny doll to go in the Santa's sack. This is my youngest daughter's favourite doll,so of course I will make her one to go in the bag. I bought a pen that should erase itself in time or with water. That is why you can see the purple lines on her face. This is the first time I used this pen I wanted to use these eye effects. This pattern is also free but it is not in proper English but if you are used to follow patterns you should get by. I do like this pattern I made a few of this pattern in the past but this is cotton 4 ply so it came cuter and smaller. This is one of my favourite doll to make but I hate making more of the same things. Here you can see my cotton little doll.

Kids' beanies

I made these small beanies and vintage hats from patterns. They are small because I could have used the wrong ply yarn and hook. Most likely, I did but they are cuter anyway, pity I don't have any little girls in my family yet. I also bought that pink yarn which I regretted buying a day after. I thought to myself it is ugly I don't know why I bought it in the first place but I do like the result now. I like the pink vintage hats. So that could happen to you too, one day, where you hate your purchase of yarn but what you do with it it will be a great. The hats are from patterns but I did alterations to some because I saw them small and also extended the rows.I always learn something new. Here on these beanie I did those three rows it is fun to do that. I used the same technic for the other two hats. How that ribbon came about I searched  for crochet ribbons and it turned up. I also had to make the crab stitch on the ribbon which is new too for me.

How nice is the hat below I didn't know it looks that good. Seeing it on the model I love it. It is from a free pattern, I could have made extra rows if I saw it small and extended the increases of stitches. I will make another one with different colour of flower.

Colourful crochet blanket

I felt like I had lots of wool so I thought making a crochet blanket is a good idea. I had lots of colours that I thought I will not be able to use them on toys. I had already made another baby blanket with this pattern. I like this pattern as it is warm and looks nice too. It is very easy to make and there are lots of videos with this pattern. I always like to try new patterns and of course I have to like it too. Crochet blankets are fun to make as you don't have to concentrate all the time. I wanted to make this for a baby blanket but one of my daughters love the colours I chose and she wants it for herself. Here are the two blankets that I made and finished.

Amigurumi exciting stuff

So I said that I am not very creative but I prayed to come up with something special. I think I did manage to make something handmade and very special and adorable, I am happy anyway. It is a baby toy and my youngest grandson inspired me because he likes to hold on to my fingers.I tried to make them different in some ways. I also tried to make them in bright colours. Kids like that. Since then I have opened a shop on etsy so here you can check all my things. All my things are copyright so please respect my wishes. https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/AmigurumiNanna?ref=hdr_shop_menu

Amigurumi cute little frog

I wanted to make another adorable frog but different because I liked the green one I made. I used blue and red like a poison frog as my daughter said because I don't know much about frogs. It is fairly easy to make It is from a free pattern but I always change or add where I don't like. I love those eyes they are glass ones and really nice. You should give this a go you can find the pattern on pinterest.com. Some sewing involved as usual but still you will feel great when the toy is finished. This toy won't be good for small kids as it has wires and the eyes. Here are the pictures of my frogs.

Another item the frog

How this came about is I was looking for small toys to make that doesn't need much work. They all take so much time to make each toy. I decided to sell some at a market but I am about to be put off. Why? it is because you need a certificate for public liability and cost about $100 for three months. I don't know if I sell anything there. last year I went and there weren't much people as far as I know. Well I saw this frog that comes with a free pattern and I thought it is cute. I changed very little in this pattern. The lady did awesome job designing it and her explanation is great. I like her idea for webbed feet that idea I didn't use it before. Also I liked how she used her wiring. I have bee crocheting toys close to two years or more and am still learning. I thought this would be a faze and I will stop after a few months but I am still doing new stuff and always feel pleased with the results. This week I saw all the toys that I made and are at home, gee! I have so many. I gave many to my grandson what ever he liked to have. I haven't got many multiples because I don't like repeating the pattern much except after some months. Ok here are the pictures of my frog I think you agree it is cute.

Moths

I have been making small toys to start selling them. It is going to be hard because I love each one of them. The pattern is from Lilleliis. She has some nice patterns. It is fairly easy to make this pattern and not much sewing. I love this pattern so I made a few of them But I always keep the first ones I make. They are cute even without wings as you can see. I normally put a rattle in each toy but I left these without.

Russian designer doll

I have been wanted to make one of this Russian designer lady. The problem was her patterns are written in Russian language. After asking and commenting many times if I could get her pattern in English to no success, I decided to buy her pattern anyway. It looked like Greek writing to me, I tried google translation each paragraph and voila there was something written in English. I decided to give it a go. I got a bit of problem along the way but I did what I thought was right. They must have lots of variations that means the same sometimes. I still wish the patterns were in English. I did brown hair instead of purple because I didn't have the colour yarn then and I wanted to start on it, it is like me being impatient to start on it. I enjoyed making it. It is a fairly large doll. I added straps to her shoes because it wouldn't stay on. I also added Velcro on the jacket instead of buttons. I would prefer buttons next time it is neater. The rest is like the pattern. A young girl would be very happy with a doll like this one.

Sock monkey from Amigurumi to go

Sock monkey from the free pattern from Amigurumi to go. I wanted to make this monkey for so long. I don't know why it took so long for me to make one. Sharon's monkeys are so cute and the patterns are easy to follow. It is not very big, that apple is medium size. It is good for a baby to handle but you need to put embroidery eyes so it is more safe. I am always searching for free patterns with challenges. I haven't got bored yet making amigurumi toys. I am a little busier these days and I can't make as much as I used to do. Anyway till next time stay safe and take care whoever reads this blog.

AmigurumiBB doll, my version

I made this doll from Vanja's patterns She made this doll very recent and she shared it for free isn't she the most generous, creative, kindest person in the world? I have been looking to make a doll that has moving hands and feet. I almost gave up and then I just saw this pattern.I had to make it. I had made a material doll with some help long time ago. I knew you attach something in the shoulders and thighs. I forgot how we did it but Vanja explains and shows photos how it's done. I changed the hand and did fingers. I like it to look as real as possible and kept going with her pattern I unpicked many times to continue with her rows but I managed at the end. The hair took a long time I split the wool into three strands and then insert it in each hole which seems forever. I don't know where this patience came from. I had trouble making the top so I made the dress myself making sure it fitted the doll. My daughter wanted me to make her lips so I tried. I think pink would have been better then red. I can draw good eyes but embroidering  them is another thing. I still have to make shoes and an apron so the dress is not too plain i will add the photo when it is all done. I will make a male doll. Some pictures for you to see.

Red haired doll

The head of this doll is one of the spheres I had made, I can't wait to use them all. I had made two similar to this one before. I used the body from Amigurumi Bb dolls. She is an awesome lady. She shares many of her free patterns and she allows you to add or change to them as we please. I like her dress and shoes. I still need more practice about this type of hair. I like Amigurumi BB dolls better the head are much nicer. I have another idea of making hair. See the way I find things out is searching for the thing I want and I find something better. I know another method which takes a lot of time so I don't bother with it.

Worm

I made this worm not sure if I made this from this pattern or my own. It has been sitting there for a while. I made lots of different sizes of spheres and I wanted to use them up. The idea of the finished toy is definitely from Lilleliis's pattern. I have been thinking to finish it like the glow worm. I bought the pattern from Lilleliis. I made a bug with wings which I posted already. I added a flower to it because I wanted it to look slightly different. Easy to make as well. I had the eyes done from previous toy and I wanted to use them. I am trying not to leave things undone. I have a large box full of wool and I would like to buy new wool so I would like to get rid of this old wool first. I think any crafty person would end up with so much stuff in the process. She will buy stuff that she thinks she will use and leave it there. OH here is the worm guys.

Fred the frog

Fred the frog, I made this one from a pattern. As soon as my daughter saw this frog she said that is mine. I ran out of filling so this frog is filled with clean plastic bags. I think I prefer polyester filling.
A little recycling doesn't hurt anyone. I was looking for small toys so I can attach the key chain to them. It is slightly bigger then I thought but still small. It was quick to do this frog pretty straight forward once you can read the patterns. I had bought these beautiful cats eyes and I wanted to use them. What I realized I need to put pipe cleaners in his legs and make them slightly more longer. Also put weights in the body so he can sit better. My daughter wanted him to have smiley face and some frogs have the eyes looking sideways. Here is the picture of the finished frog. I'm happy when I finish each and every toy, I'm surprised at the end results of how it looks or how I can make it better. I made a grumpy one I like it better and smaller feet.

Little kitty

I made this lovely kitty which I think you will like as well. I made this from Chica outlet. I always put the link to the patterns for you to let you know where I get them. So if you would like to try them it is there. This one is fairly easy. If you use contrasting colours will look great I reckon. It is great for little children as there are no safety eyes no choking hazards. I have to research about the whiskies I'm not quite sure how they stick them on. There is also a flower if you would like to insert one I didn't. Anyway here is the picture of my little kitty cat.

Beautiful Crab

This is one of the most fiddle thing I made, but turned out to be so nice. The lady who made this pattern is very smart and also very generous to share it. It is not very difficult to make. The colours are beautiful. I will never know if it is going to turn out like the picture in the pattern, so when It does I feel great. I used pipe cleaners in the legs/fingers whatever you want to call them.

Makka Pakka

I made Makka Pakka for my grandson and future grand children. I didn't have any pattern for it. Trial and error. I hesitated to finish it as I found oblong head hard to do. I made one and it came a little too small. I'm happy with the finished toy. I find it very satisfying that it looks a bit like the toy I tried to imitate. Here is a picture of the toy I tried to make and my one.

My made up sloth

I made this sloth without a pattern. I made this for my daughter's birthday. She is madly about sloths.I took notes down it wasn't hard to do. She happened to like it which is nice. She reckons I made a very big snout  NOT LIKELY TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE. I don't like to make the same toy. I am more interested how well it turns out. I like the challenge once lol.
I
