Crochet shoes

These shoes I followed someone on youtube in different Language. I would say she was spanish. I shout not have used 8 ply in Usa they say worsted yarn because the shoe came different size. Hers could have been a 4 ply and smaller hook. I hardly follow what they use lol I use what I have on hand. Also I need to make new stuff not the same. I need the challenge most likely I will not do this again. I like making what I like at the time. Usually Sunday was the day that I search for stuff to make becuase I don't crochet on Sundays. Anyway here it is, she used lovely blue colour hers, looked like moccasins.

Turtle blanket

I loved making this blanket. I used the wool I had not tried to make it as real as possible. It was for my little grandson. I made the trutles myself after I searched and searched. I didn't want to make them to be 3 D, I also added star fish and shells. also I made a turtle coming out from the egg. Planet June has this type of  blanket. My grandson loved it and it is a lovely thing to make for kids. First you make the blanket then you sew the appliques on it. You need to secure them properly so it is safe for them. Crochet round bag

Hi this a crochet bag my sister made with my help as she doesn't crochet as a hobby like me. She knew how to make this stitch but she didn't even know the name of the stitch. We unpicked a few times and we changed the handle as you can see. She also macrame a shoulder strap so she can use it as a shoulder bag. It was her first crochet project and we got inspired from youtube. It was fun to have her around to crochet with me. We used tshirt yarn to make this bag. You can see them down below.

Amigurumi spiders

These has to be my best amigurumi that I have done maybe so far. I made no patterns for these and as you can see they are different sizes. How I came about these spiders is I wanted to make a Halloween costume for my grandson. I wanted to attach them to a web cape. I did the cape but I store bought smaller spiders as mine were too big and heavy. So pleasd with the results I wanted to make more but our yarn colours are very limited. It is a big store but you can't find th colours that you like. there are wires in these spiders I usually try to eliminate eyes and wires so my grand kids can play with them. As you can s they are very cute

Crochet skirts

I love these skirts and not as hard to make. The lady is majovel on you tube. She is excellent in showing her knowledge. I have a shop on etsy so these will be good for twins. The white skirt is made in cotton. The blue one a mixture of half blends. It is a lovely skirt for winter.

Crochet blue dress

I crocheted this dress because I had the wool and I wanted to use it as always. Two balls it needs to make this dress. It is a free pattern and not joining anywhere which is great. Simple enough not to use your brain. This is the back of the dress I wanted the slip stitch to be straight it was tricky and I'm sure there is a simple way for the learned ones. I am fairly pleased with the ends results.

lovely crochet girl's ruffle skirt

I made this lovely girl's ruffle skirt from a free video too. You need to read diagram to follow this skirt as the lady doesn't show you all the way till finish. I love this skirt and I am making another one. I used 4 ply yarn, half nylon and half acrylic yarn. I don't have anyone to try it on, pity, I would have like to see how it looks. Strange, I seem to be making girls stuff, though I have grandsons. I had girls so I am more confident with girls stuff. I still need to put buttons on the band, so not yet completely finished. I didn't want to go to the shop just for buttons. This one you might find it hard to make the ruffles it was ok for me. I wouldn't used 8 ply acrylic yarn for this.  I added an extra ruffle for mine as I saw it small. I am very, very pleased with this skirt.

Crochet socks

I came across these socks by an Italian lady I think she is Oana she has a you tube video of these socks. I was impressed and wanted to have a go at making them. No joining anywhere that is a win for me. I used 5 ply acrylic, I made one sock but in between I made an order that had to be shipped so it was a week maybe after I made the other one. I did it by memory and I did a shorter row. I just thought it would come in handy the way the heel is done for amigurumi. I don't think I will make socks again since they never came perfect lol. If I did it in the same day they would have turned out much better. I like the right side sock. When you put them side by side they look ok. Hope yours turn out ok if you give these a try. Amigurumi dinosaurs

I will tell you how I came to make these dinosaur. I work outside and the weather was overcast so I had an umbrella with me and since it was windy I was looking for a place to put it . Where I work there are construction guys and are working on the road and traffic lights. There was a pipe stuck up and I put my umbrella there not knowing how deep it was. It was for the traffic lights. I was worried for those boys that will come and work there so I told someone about the umbrella being in there. He asked me where and he tried with his hands then stick then he went and got some wire from his car. I was at my work when I heard thank you behind me and voila it was my umbrella thanked him. That day ended up that way. when I saw him next I asked him whattype of beer he liked cause I owed him a couple he said "no don't want any" so I asked him if he had any kids he told me yes he had two boys. I said what do they like he told me dinosaurs. I told him I will see what I can do. i looked for some dinosaur patterns and in the meantime I made them both a beanie which they liked and wore. I still felt that I should make them dinosaurs any way  found these And I made them. The guy was so pleased I bet more then his boys he made me laugh he thanks me so many times. I felt great giving these dinos away when I made someone very happy. that is how and why I done them. My eldest daughter liked the brontosaur for her youngest. since then I made 3 long neck and 2 triceratops.  There is a way not to sew the legs so I did that. You pick up the exact stitches from the body. Ever for the horns I did that. They are free patterns from pinterest. long neck has a tutorial as well I didn't need it.

Amigurumi hippo blanket

I wanted to make the hippo blanket because I had an idea in my head. It didn't actually work as I wanted it to. The effect I wanted it to be didn't actual show. I like it better this way then just the head and hands. I work tight so I needed to work the blanket with a bigger hook. In a way it is safe for babies as they can' t get their little fingers hooked in it. I like the blue colours that I used and the pattern of the blanket. They are free from pinterest.com.  I like his little cute ears and head. Cute hippo pity it is not a little bit bigger. I embroidered the eyes, I think it is safer. Amigurumi boy blue

I started from a pattern but I kept doing it as I go. I do feel like not follow a pattern sometimes. It is a large doll and his hair makes him cool. I embroidered his eyes with embroidery thread. I usually use wool but I wanted to see how it comes out. His hands are movable. There are no wires stuffed well near the head. I like how cuddly he is. I might make him removable clothes. I have a few things that I need to finish first, he can stay like this for awhile. I hate when I keep starting things and because I ran out of the wool  need I will stat something else. His hair took some time to make I separated the yarn as well other wise it will be very booffy. 

Amigurumi Unicorn

Very popular these days for people to buy unicorn but I made one not too thrilled about it. I liked the sleeping unicorn, it is a free pattern. I am hard on myself I think it is not perfect. The feet might not be perfectly positioned and will annoy me. I have more white wool which I might make another look of a unicorn.I will have to find another free pattern. It is really good way to use some co,oured scraps of yarn for the mane and tail. I can't seem to find a toy big enough for a girl or boy to cuddle up they are always very small.

My first amigurumi coloured doll

I never made a coloured doll as I don't know what colour they use. One of my daughter said I should have used black hair oh well I use what I have lol. It is also my pattern but I didn't write it down yes I'm naughty. I tried to embroider the eyes not my best job but it happens to us every now and then. There is no sewing anywhere which I like I have to try again and research a little. My weakness is that I never plan that is why I like to make from patterns I would know how they will turn up. Many times I am please with the result. Let someone else do the hard work eh! anyway I will show you what I will do next time, who knows what I will make. Usually on Sundays, I searched for stuff because I don't crochet on Sundays.

My Original crochet Fedora hat

Finally, I made a crochet  pattern of  a fedora hat. I still need to see if the pattern works as I wrote it all today. I will start selling it on etsy if all goes well if I am allowed to do so. I made a fedora hat on you tube and I didn 't like it as much so I tried to make my own. I am happy with the result and it only needs little improvement and should be fine. I would like to starch it so it keeps the shape but I think it will not be as warm. My wish was to make a pattern of something I always quit half way writing it down but this time I kept going, so glad  I did . I still don' t know yet  how to make different sizes. This suits boys and girls with measurements of 56 centimeters. It will fit my oldest grandson. 

Amigurumi sleeping doggy

Hi everyone, I search for things to make and I came across this dog. I love how it came I might make another one beige colour. It  is this free pattern  It is not very big I wish it was though it would be nice to cuddle. Not very hard to make either but lots of sewing. Easy enough pattern for people who can crochet. Good luck with it, here is mine. My youngest daughter like her toys to be made from cotton not acrylic yarn so she might not take this one.It is a  lovely, safe, handmade toy for your little one. There are no wires or safety eyes which they can come apart at times. Lately, I do embroider the eyes.

Amigurumi dragon

I was giving lots of wool and I found us for them her in making this toy. I made many patterns from amigurumi bb and many times I wanted to try this dragon and many times I put it off. Finally I got to make it and since I had four 50 grams balls of wool I made it colourful as you can see. It is fairly easy to crochet if you are used to amigurumi. However there is a lot of sewing in this toy. It is a free pattern so it won't cost you anything to make it. My grandson loved it he will sleep with it he told me. he looks good with his big eyes. I actually thought it was way bigger toy but not really. I do love amigurumi bb's patterns. Good luck with yours if you give this a try.

 

Crochet colourful blanket

When you are given lots of yarn and it is textured and you don't know what to do with it, a good way is to make blankets. I made one not quite similar to this but same manner and I liked it so I wanted it like it more then stripes. I have different colour black and faded colour but it is very useful to cover little kids with it while napping. I used  a lot of different blues here all was given to me that I thought I will not use for amigurumi. The yarn had different texture it is a very good way to used it this way. I had two different colour blacks and different yarn like acrylic and wool. The light blue yarn was thin different ply so I worked it with two strands. Without planning anything working as I go I must admit I like the results. I thought I will show you this project.

Handmade Crochet Girl's sweater

I just love making these sweaters. They are so easy and they look so cute. I made these with 5 ply acrylic yarn. Easy free pattern from bernat and there is a you tube video instruction. I also love the combinations I used. The trouble with these are you need to be careful with the sleeves as to not loose stitches. I need to figure a way to also make the joining part straight somehow it comes slanting. I embroidered the eyes because buttons are choking hazards. I also put buttons at the back cause I saw the neck circumference small. I was saying about hazards but hopefully at the back is quite safe. still it is a nice project to make.

Amigurumi pig

I wanted to make this pig for my niece. She happen to love pigs. I liked his face and this is a free pattern. The problem is that it is in Russian but if you have followed Russian patterns before you will be able to make this pig. Since I don't read Russian I didn't understood when I should have put the eyes on so I had to embroidery them at the end. She has a techinc how to twist the head and movable legs. I just saw pictures and tried to copy. I couldn't google translate or copy and paste anything. It is a pity there are so many free Russian patterns which I dare not try. I have tried and stopped finishing them where I find I can't keep going. I have made pigs before I like his ears

Crochet sweater

I had yarn and wanted to use it so I searched for something that I can do. I came across this beautiful sweater. There is also a video on you tube I think it is by Bernat yarn. I love the fact there there is something on the front. I like the combination of colours. It is really not hard to make if you can you can follow the video as well. This is made in 5 ply yarn I usually like to use 8 ply yarn. It is very useful to make it for kids. I thought the opening for the head is small so I did an opening at the back. You can alter how you please once you understand how it is done. I still have to attach the buttons on I bought them already.
