Amigurumi toys
I saw these lovely free patterns and I had to make them. The dog is not small but he is a cute dog. I like how it turned out. I made his overalls myself not from a patterns but the lady has overalls too. She has another type of dog and a cat. I simple loved this dog so I just made him for now. I might make them later. It is from amigurumi today If I'm not mistaken. I also made this teddy, he is tiny but the colour I've used is not as nice. They use different yarn to make this small teddy but I think it is not strong enough. I thought it was cute. I am very selective in what I make I have to like them. It is also a free pattern but I'm afraid this one is in different language. I don't put wires and safety eyes in my toys lately. I don't know what I touched to make it in italics. Here are the pictures of them.

Amigurumi boy blue
I started from a pattern but I kept doing it as I go. I do feel like not follow a pattern sometimes. It is a large doll and his hair makes him cool. I embroidered his eyes with embroidery thread. I usually use wool but I wanted to see how it comes out. His hands are movable. There are no wires stuffed well near the head. I like how cuddly he is. I might make him removable clothes. I have a few things that I need to finish first, he can stay like this for awhile. I hate when I keep starting things and because I ran out of the wool need I will stat something else. His hair took some time to make I separated the yarn as well other wise it will be very booffy.

Tiny cat (amigurumi)
Hi I came across to this cute cat and I was wondering how small it was. You will never know that till you make it so I did mine. I expected it to be smaller but it is ok I guess. It measures 6 inches. I used different yarn I think it is called mohair I was given this yarn. A good way to use mohair. I found myself making toys again. I hate the sewing part only because sometimes the legs and hands don' t come attached the way you want them to. Toys are fun to make when you see them all done it is a good achievement. It is like art when you finish painting the piece and see the final result. It is always hard to part from them I think because I put so much care, love into them. I brushed it to look like this not good for kids as it has a small button. Be always aware of those little things.

Amigurumi Crochet New Toy
I had some cotton yarn to use so about a year ago I scribbled some designs. This was on the page but I changed the top part. I should have followed it exactly as I drew it back then. It is a toy that I was inspired to make by my grandkids. Also I did ask God to give me some talent to create something. I lack that. I would like to make a pattern one day but since I sell varieties of this design I rather not. I like to make two faces on the toy as it is more fun for kids to have something to look at. I think embroidery thread for this toy was ok. I used alot of blue in this toy on purpose. I wanted to add embellishments to this toy but it might not be safe for small children so I prefer not to. Anyway here it is

Amigurumi Bing
I made Bing for my grandsons because they watch him on tv. Lucky for my someone posted the patterns for free. I owe my gratitude to her. My grandsons will love him they sleep with may of the toys I made for them. It is a fairly easy pattern. It doesn't take too long to make. those brown lines I thought they will take me forever. I listen to stuff while I am doing crochet. While doing this I listened to George Muller a german man who opened orphanages in Bristol without asking people for money Only praying to God. what an inspirational man. The guy who reads his narratives is so soothing to listen to. So It is kind of relaxing for me. Look him up on pinterest for the free pattern.

Amigurumi toy
I just love this toy. It is cute but I don't think it is safe for kids. I wouldn't give one to a kid I feel the hands are not strongly attached but still cute. I have been wanting to make one of these and postponed. i followed a pattern which was in a different language and then when I couldn't understand I continued on my own like the feet and part of the hat. I often tend to do that but at least I get to finish it. It was suppose to have wings but I couldn't be bothered.
Men boutonnieres
I had to make a few for the fathers and all the grooms men. It was their wish to make so many. You can see a smaller one for the Paige boy who was not even three years old.

Boy's hair clips
I was inspired to make boy's hair clips because of my grandson. He was born with such lovely hair that it is a waist to cut it off. It was strange for me at first seeing him with long hair. I was asking my daughter when she was going to take him for a hair cut. She told me she wasn't so I quit telling after some time and started to live with seeing him having long hair. At first she was cutting his fringe because it was always in his eyes but now she wants to grow it for him, that was when we decided to make boy's clips. We tried to make the clips of the animals or stuff he likes. He definitely likes the bees and we haven't shown him the other new ones yet. They take awhile to make and they are fiddly when it is handmade. I together with my daughter made them out of felt and embroidery thread. Here are our creations. Once you start making them you become to be more creative.

Beret
How these beret came about is I saw a handsome man wearing a lovely light brown beret. He looked great, so I thought I will make one for my grandson. I made one and came small so I kept making to see what size will fit him. It turned out he doesn't like wearing them. Since I have too many now I will sell them at a market. The pattern I used is from you tube, she has two videos, so if you type flat beret it turns up. It is easy to make she has a good tutorials. you don't need much wool either. Here are the pictures of my berets.

Crochet Beanie slouch
I always like to try new stuff. I get bored doing the same things, this way I keep myself interested in this craft. How the beanie came about is my older grandson tried his father's beanie and I wanted to make him one. I actually made him two because I didn't have his brother's head circumference and I made the other one big enough to fit him too. One is brown and the other one blue and brown. just had enough wool. I got the free pattern from pinterest.com. I had to increase more as my wool was 8 ply. I'm so happy, I am using a lot of yarn. I need to buy new colours. Who knows what I will be doing next I know my daughter wants me to make her something so you might come here and check to see what it is. Till next time

Amigurumi mouse
My grandchild was looking at some cartoons on the internet and he told me that he wanted a mouse. I asked him what colour he said grey at first but then he said orange. A day passed and I asked him again and he still said orange so I proceeded in making him one. I have lots of coloured wool which I like to finish so I can buy nicer colours. As you see I ran out of wool for the tail so I did it in grey. I used safety eyes and glued them for more safety as well but still we will watch him when he plays with it. I changed the nose part it was way too long for me and the hands and legs. I like the body very much. The lady who wrote this pattern did an awesome job I also like the ears. Let's see what he does when he sees it. It gives me so much pleasure when he likes the toys I make for him.

Amigurumi owl
Hello this is the last toy this week. I don't work on Sundays, I normally research what I will do in the next week. I made this owl it is fairly big. It could be a door stopper if you fill it with pebbles or pellets. The pattern is in different language and I misunderstood a verse I think. I google translate it because I had to make one. I made it with closed eyes for a change. It is easy to make otherwise. I like to try new things. The embroidery on the chest of the owl I have never done. I want to start selling my toys most likely I will open a shop on etsy.

Amigurumi giraffe
I made this giraffe simply because I haven't done one. I searched for a nice giraffe on pinterest and google. I also searched for a free pattern I was looking for this type of giraffe. My youngest grandson started to hold toys in his hands and this one will be safe for him. It measures 36 centimeters a little tall then I imagined. I picked blue and white for this giraffe and embroidered eyes. I like how it came but the pattern was in a different language and I google translate it. it is a good toy for him to sleep with. I don't like how the ears are maybe I misunderstood somewhere. I should have made adjustments myself but I thought it might look good. The legs are a bit long too but kids don't know the difference. I Like the colours I used to make it. Here are the pictures of my giraffe.

Tiny shoes
I saw a nice pattern of these shoes in red, black and white and I had to try them. I bought the pattern and I had trouble continuing after joining the shoe up. So I contacted the seller of the pattern and she tried to explain but in the meantime, I felt I couldn't do it so I left it for a week, like I always do and finished other stuff that needed finishing. I tend to leave it once I find a problem and it is hard for me to go and keep on working on it. I work tight and the wool was dark and that is also why I couldn't get to the stitch that I had to get to. Since I bought the pattern I had to give it another go so I finally knew what I had to do. Sometimes it is better to leave it and get to it some other day somehow it helps with a fresh mind. Then it was all good for the rest of the shoe. Maybe you guys won't find so hard as I did so try it out. I did mine different colours to fit my grandson's clothing. Here are the pictures of both the blue one is mine. Should have stuffed the shoe with paper for he photo but you get the gist.

My lion
About two weeks ago my youngest daughter came to me and asked me if I make her a lion to give out as a present. Well I looked on pinterest and amigurumi free patterns to see if I like any. I finally decided on this one. I changed how she did the strings on the legs. The rest, I followed the whole pattern as hers. Since it is for a baby, I think the colours are too dark and it is very big for a baby to hold so I will make her another one and I will do it from Amigurumi to go. I like it standing instead of sitting and easier to hold. The maine does take a long time. It is not hard to do if you are familiar with making amigurumi. I bet my grandson would love it. I also included the lady's lion too. The third photo belongs to the lady I used the pattern from. Good luck in making one.

Cute amigurumi duck
I researched for something cute to make for Easter. I thought I make something small for my grandson. I used the head a body from this pattern, the rest, I made it from my head. My grandson is over two years now and he will play just for a little while with this toy. He will be supervised because of the eyes when he plays with it. He is more into trucks. I don't think ducks have that thing on their heads but I thought it looked cuter with it. I have to try a small thing that I will make to see if I can fluff this wool without ruining the actual duck. It didn't take long to make but I researched for better wings to make. I found this one which I like very much but I can't make the left side. I tried to make it with my left hand but I can't do it. Maybe one of you know how to make the right side of the wing and share it. I am pretty pleased with the result. I used pipe cleaners for the legs. I think my grandson would love this duckling.

Banana in pajama
I had an order to make banana in pajama . It is a character from a kid's show. Since I couldn't find a pattern I tried to make one. Now we have to see if she likes it because banana in pajama are two of them called B1, B2. I need to improve it but if she doesn't like it my grandson will love it. The stripes in amigurumi aren't straight so I decided to make it the way I did. Since it is for a baby I embroidered the eyes so it is safe. here is the picture of Banana in pajama B2 In this photo his head looks skinny but I tried to make it bigger and somehow I thought it didn't look good.

Little Batman
Since my son in law introduce batman to my grandson, I had to make him one. I found this free pattern from Pinterest .com. It is fairly easy for those who are used to read patterns. The hardest I found embroider the bat. I had to find a logo of batman and hand free draw it. I had to do it a few times as mine was a bit big. I used yellow, skin colour, grey and dark blue because it is for a child. Dark colours is hard to work with in my opinion. It measures 23 centimeters good size for a child to hold. Actually a child should be supervised because of the eye buttons. I could have embroidered the eyes but I liked the way it was made with similar buttons. Anyway for you out there who would like to give this little batman a go good luck. I made him a cape easy to make.

New moccasins for my little grandson
I found some fleecy material that I bought on special from Spotlight. Since we use moccasins to walk on the carpet I thought I will make some for my grandson with that material. I looked on the internet for some inspirations. I found this pattern from pinterest. I enlarged it to the size I thought it was big enough to fit him. I cut the pattern out and sewed it by hand. I crochet the shoelace and put a sole it so it is not slippery. I bought a piece of rubber foam from Clarks rubber. For my second attempt it is not too bad. Here are the pictures for you to see.
