Amigurumi toys

I saw these lovely free patterns and I had to make them. The dog is not small but he is a cute dog. I like how it turned out. I made his overalls myself not from a patterns but the lady has overalls too. She has another type of dog and a cat. I simple loved this dog so I just made him for now. I might make them later. It is from amigurumi today If I'm not mistaken. I also made this teddy, he is tiny but the colour I've used is not as nice. They use different yarn to make this small teddy but I think it is not strong enough. I thought it was cute. I am very selective in what I make I have to like them. It is also a free pattern but I'm afraid this one is in different language. I don't put wires and safety eyes in my toys lately. I don't know what I touched to make it in italics. Amigurumi hippo blanket

I wanted to make the hippo blanket because I had an idea in my head. It didn't actually work as I wanted it to. The effect I wanted it to be didn't actual show. I like it better this way then just the head and hands. I work tight so I needed to work the blanket with a bigger hook. In a way it is safe for babies as they can' t get their little fingers hooked in it. I like the blue colours that I used and the pattern of the blanket. They are free from pinterest.com.  I like his little cute ears and head. Cute hippo pity it is not a little bit bigger. I embroidered the eyes, I think it is safer. Amigurumi doll

This time I followed a lady on you tube to make this doll. She called it bag charm doll or something within those words. I think she is Suwanna craft's room. She is a cute doll she made it out of cotton so her doll would be smaller then mine. I made mine out of acrylic yarn. Her hair is the first time I did it this way but no harm in trying new technics. I sometimes rather follow the pattern it is quicker then you tube. I decreased one row in her shoe I like it that way and a row of increase in her hat I thought it was coming out too big and it would have been. I also made different trim on the skirt then hers. In this doll I learnt how to attach her hair. I didn't attach the hat to the head.  Anyway good luck with yours if you have a go

Amigurumi Crochet New Toy

I had some cotton yarn to use so about a year ago I scribbled some designs. This was on the page but I changed the top part. I should have followed it exactly as I drew it back then. It is a toy that I was inspired to make by my grandkids. Also I did ask God to give me some talent to create something. I lack that. I would like to make a pattern one day but since I sell varieties of this design I rather not. I like to make two faces on the toy as it is more fun for kids to have something to look at. I think embroidery thread for this toy was ok. I used alot of blue in this toy on purpose. I wanted to add embellishments to this toy but it might not be safe for small children so I prefer not to. Anyway here it is

Wedding pomander

Kissing ball or pomander I found that these are called. I made two for the flower girls and since the ages were different I made one slightly smaller as she was only three years old. I never made these before so I searched on you tube how. I love you tube the things I learn from there, but I did a course for making fresh and artificial flowers. I think it is better to know how they are made though I was very, very challenged doing the bride bouquet and no one had a video about large one. I tried many Technics and errors before I came with the ONE. The pearl ribbon I love it so much for these kissing balls. I used smaller roses for these.

Mother of the bride flowers

I made these four corsages for the mothers and grand mothers. They wanted them on a pearl bracelet. I might make a video on how to make corsages. It is not hard you just need a good eye for details.

Wedding head bands

I made these wedding headbands or whatever they are called for two flowers girls ages three and five. with ribbons matching the bridesmaids' dresses.

Crochet girl blanket

I didn't want to make a blanket I actually wanted to make a poncho for a little girl. I picked the squares I liked and started. After I made some squares I didn' t think these kind of squares suited a poncho.  Serves me right because I should plan these things but instead I get an idea in my head and go along with it. After I had nine squares I thought I make it for the pram or bassinet. I also made a boarder to make it a little bigger. It turned out ok I guess hopefully I learnt my lesson to plan before I start doing something.

Rope basket

My daughter needs a basket for her keys so as usual I searched for a rope basket. I found a few that I like. I decided to try a few and after unpicking and unpicking because I started to make it round then unpicked to make it oblong then square in the end I ended up with a circle base. I decided to make one whatever it will look like it won't be perfect after my first try anyway. Well guess what my daughter liked it so I will make it larger with big opening since it is to put her keys in it. I made it out of  plastic rope and neon nylon rope and a hook. I didn't do it exactly like the tutorial that I watched but same technic. Now I see where I went wrong and I will try my best to do better. Here is a picture of my basket.

Small sleeping doll

As you all know I made MR and MRS Santa and I also made him a large bag. I wanted to  fill up the sack with small toys that is why I did this toy. I wanted to make one of these but I never got to it till the last two weeks. I got the free pattern from pinterest.com. I would have like to bag the body bag longer, it would have been in good proportion I think, never the less it is still cute. I did do this toy in cotton, 4ply I think I like doing cotton toys more then wool. You can see the bag behind the doll. The toys, I will show you,they all fit in the bag and maybe I should have done more.

Owl macrame

I did this owl awhile back. I sometimes comes across a craft that I would like to try and this was one of them. I did this by researching you tube and diagrams. It is made of special knots. I used beads for the eyes and a small twig from our garden. I don't think I remember how it's done now or what and how I learnt. I have to go back from scratch if I want to make another one. It was made of recycling stiff string. The craft is called macrame so you can easily search for it. Good luck with it. Here is mine it is very small the owl measures 7 cm and with the tail 13 cm.

large doll

I made this from Bbs amigurumi easy to follow pattern. It is a free pattern. I want to try more of her patterns.

It was fairly easy to do I added nose, ears and eyebrows. I used two yarns because I wanted it to be big. There is nothing to sew but I did. I sewed the hands. I hope one of my girls will have a girl to give it to her. I bought girl clothes for the doll which she will want if she has a girl. lol
