Crochet lovely squares

I saw these lovely squares and I was curious how they are made. I tried the most simple ones first but then I did complicated ones. I didn't work these from patterns but I followed this lady on you tube. If you use nice colours they will look great. I need to make few more then I will join them into a blanket. I love the colours I used, I tried to use all the bits of yarn I have. I can never finish them lol. First I did the blue and since I didn't find it too hard I did the second one. I love the third, the colours and the pattern are amazing. The fourth is complicated more it looks nice but I won't do it again. I like the fifth I will do that again. Won't do the first one either too blue lol. I think you agree with me the third looks great. I will do another one like it. There is another square I want to try but I think it is bigger then these squares. I added the lady that makes these squares give it a go.

Crochet girl blanket

I didn't want to make a blanket I actually wanted to make a poncho for a little girl. I picked the squares I liked and started. After I made some squares I didn' t think these kind of squares suited a poncho.  Serves me right because I should plan these things but instead I get an idea in my head and go along with it. After I had nine squares I thought I make it for the pram or bassinet. I also made a boarder to make it a little bigger. It turned out ok I guess hopefully I learnt my lesson to plan before I start doing something.

Granny squares colourful blanket

It has been a while but blankets do take longer time to make. My second daughter came up to me and asked me if I could make her a colourful blanket and ofcourse I said yes. She was choosing all the colours that she wanted together, she helped a little too making the granny squares. I think she did a very good job in picking up the colours together. It took me less then two months to make I mostly worked at nights on it. She also wanted wider border and she wanted that floral finish too. I am glad I did something for her that she wished for. Mothers' are good at that pleasing their children.

Crochet Blanket

I made this blanket last year, for one of my daughters because she wanted one. It took me about four months to finish. I used to work on it while watching TV. She picked the colours herself. I think she did a wonderful job in choosing to yarn colours. It was my biggest project so far. It wasn't difficult to make and I'm happy with the results.
