I came across some crochet lily flowers. I am always curious of how they are made so I wanted to give these a try. Usually when I don't post anything it is because I am working on something. I found a video which was not in English I followed this lady through. I wish she had a pattern to follow. I made the long leaves myself but for the front leaves I follow another lady. If you search on you tube you can find these ladies that I'm talking about just search crochet flowers. I added wire and florist tape and arrange them in a pot with white pebbles and florist foam. Calla lily is the easiest flower to make if you want to try. I am fascinated how many things they can do out of crochet. Here are my flowers all made of cotton yarn.

Crochet flowers
What can't they do with crochet? I always seem to find to things to try and make. This time I came across these flowers which I loved making. It was soon to be my youngest daughter's birthday and she loves plants so I saw these orchids. since I think I might not understand the patterns I looked for a tutorial on you tube. I thank the people so much for all their tutorials. I have learned so much from them. I found a video, I think she was an Italian lady and I followed her all the way. I used cotton very thin ply and incorporated wires to them. I was pleased with the results. I gave her more presents but she got orchid pot as well. She loved it. I got tempted to try lily and roses too. I would like to make bird of paradise I am a florist it would be nice to make an arrangement of all these flowers who knows if I feel up to it.

Flower arrangement
One of my sisters asked me if I could make her a traditional flower arrangement. She bought some herself and I bought some too according to how she wanted it to look. She also wanted me to use the same wheat grain spiky things from her old arrangement. When you are working in a florist you have all the flowers you need but when you are at home working with what you buy it is a different story. She likes it and it is the main thing. I am always very critical at what I do.

Bird cage
My daughter wanted me to just decorate this cage for her. She bought the birds online. I just had to make a veil for one and bought the hat and add a tiny blue ribbon on it for the other bird. I tried to make the hat but she wasn't satisfied so I found one that almost fit the bird and I used that instead. I put flowers and attach them with wire and finally I added the pearls. We also added a nest inside but it is also not shown in these pictures.
Bride's bouquet
Here is the bride's bouquet. Again I made it up to her taste. she wanted feathers, pearls, net and satin ribbon. It is the shape she wanted it to be. I also added a ribbon but I can't take photo of it sorry guys.

Corsages
I made these corsages for my daughter's wedding which happened yesterday. I made these out of artificial flowers. My daughter chose the flowers and colours we bought way too many extra flowers. It wasn't very hard to make added feathers and pearls to them and ribbon to finish them up. One lady wanted the corsages on her wrist so I made that on a pearl bracelet. Here is a picture of all of them plus one for my grandson.

Heart with flowers
I was asked to make three of these hearts of flowers. I was supplied with the heart wires and flowers. I have made a florist course many years ago. I made the course with fresh and dry flowers. I have an idea how they are made. I did them in couple of nights here is a picture of one of them. She still haven't seen them and I hope she likes them. I won't be charging her for them. I will keep you posted if she did or not.

Makka Pakka
I made Makka Pakka for my grandson and future grand children. I didn't have any pattern for it. Trial and error. I hesitated to finish it as I found oblong head hard to do. I made one and it came a little too small. I'm happy with the finished toy. I find it very satisfying that it looks a bit like the toy I tried to imitate. Here is a picture of the toy I tried to make and my one.

Recycle handbag
I made this awhile back. I made this out of used plastic bags. You go through a lot of bags to make this handbag. It is very useful and practical. A better use for the plastic bags instead of throwing them away. It will be useful again. If you like to see a video of how I joined the plastic strips together just comment and I will make a video to show you how. Well here is a picture of two bags.

Crochet Blanket
I made this blanket last year, for one of my daughters because she wanted one. It took me about four months to finish. I used to work on it while watching TV. She picked the colours herself. I think she did a wonderful job in choosing to yarn colours. It was my biggest project so far. It wasn't difficult to make and I'm happy with the results.
