Crochet shoes

These shoes I followed someone on youtube in different Language. I would say she was spanish. I shout not have used 8 ply in Usa they say worsted yarn because the shoe came different size. Hers could have been a 4 ply and smaller hook. I hardly follow what they use lol I use what I have on hand. Also I need to make new stuff not the same. I need the challenge most likely I will not do this again. I like making what I like at the time. Usually Sunday was the day that I search for stuff to make becuase I don't crochet on Sundays. Anyway here it is, she used lovely blue colour hers, looked like moccasins.

Turtle blanket

I loved making this blanket. I used the wool I had not tried to make it as real as possible. It was for my little grandson. I made the trutles myself after I searched and searched. I didn't want to make them to be 3 D, I also added star fish and shells. also I made a turtle coming out from the egg. Planet June has this type of  blanket. My grandson loved it and it is a lovely thing to make for kids. First you make the blanket then you sew the appliques on it. You need to secure them properly so it is safe for them. Crochet round bag

Hi this a crochet bag my sister made with my help as she doesn't crochet as a hobby like me. She knew how to make this stitch but she didn't even know the name of the stitch. We unpicked a few times and we changed the handle as you can see. She also macrame a shoulder strap so she can use it as a shoulder bag. It was her first crochet project and we got inspired from youtube. It was fun to have her around to crochet with me. We used tshirt yarn to make this bag. You can see them down below.

Crochet Poncho

 I forgot how to post here lol. I haven't used this blog for awhile. This is how I came to make these ponchos. My sister saw a poncho and wanted me to try and make her one with her own choice of colours. This is not the poncho but I got carried away and done one for me another one for one of my daughter and some for my etsy shop. I liked making them, the fringe took a whole ball of yarn but you have to finish it right? They have holes but they are really warm you will feel it when you take it off.  They are great to use. Here you can see a few of them.

Mochilla or Wayuu bag

I enjoy making these bags because you don't have to concentrate much in increasing stitches. I saw a lady making a bag with this design and I had to try it. I like the challenge and the success in finishing it. I make an extendable belt. It is also on sale in my etsy shop. I would have liked to make a grey one but the yarn was very light grey then what I had in mind. What I have learnt in making these bags are to make wider strap and smaller holes 

Amigurumi spiders

These has to be my best amigurumi that I have done maybe so far. I made no patterns for these and as you can see they are different sizes. How I came about these spiders is I wanted to make a Halloween costume for my grandson. I wanted to attach them to a web cape. I did the cape but I store bought smaller spiders as mine were too big and heavy. So pleasd with the results I wanted to make more but our yarn colours are very limited. It is a big store but you can't find th colours that you like. there are wires in these spiders I usually try to eliminate eyes and wires so my grand kids can play with them. As you can s they are very cute

Crochet skirts

I love these skirts and not as hard to make. The lady is majovel on you tube. She is excellent in showing her knowledge. I have a shop on etsy so these will be good for twins. The white skirt is made in cotton. The blue one a mixture of half blends. It is a lovely skirt for winter.

Crochet orange dress

I had bought some orange cotton yarn and I thought it would be enough to make a dress. I liked this dress. It has a button at the back making it easy to put it on. It is from a free you tube that I used before. It is an easy dress to make. It is for a three month old baby girl. I am glad to finish the yarn but I keep buying more. Just spent $50 worth of yarn, this way, I will never run out . what an addiction hobby. If you only knew how much I loved sewing before liking crochet. Now I can't stand sewing. I think it is not possible to like two things. It is one thing at a time.

lovely crochet girl's ruffle skirt

I made this lovely girl's ruffle skirt from a free video too. You need to read diagram to follow this skirt as the lady doesn't show you all the way till finish. I love this skirt and I am making another one. I used 4 ply yarn, half nylon and half acrylic yarn. I don't have anyone to try it on, pity, I would have like to see how it looks. Strange, I seem to be making girls stuff, though I have grandsons. I had girls so I am more confident with girls stuff. I still need to put buttons on the band, so not yet completely finished. I didn't want to go to the shop just for buttons. This one you might find it hard to make the ruffles it was ok for me. I wouldn't used 8 ply acrylic yarn for this.  I added an extra ruffle for mine as I saw it small. I am very, very pleased with this skirt.

Crochet socks

I came across these socks by an Italian lady I think she is Oana she has a you tube video of these socks. I was impressed and wanted to have a go at making them. No joining anywhere that is a win for me. I used 5 ply acrylic, I made one sock but in between I made an order that had to be shipped so it was a week maybe after I made the other one. I did it by memory and I did a shorter row. I just thought it would come in handy the way the heel is done for amigurumi. I don't think I will make socks again since they never came perfect lol. If I did it in the same day they would have turned out much better. I like the right side sock. When you put them side by side they look ok. Hope yours turn out ok if you give these a try. Amigurumi toys

I saw these lovely free patterns and I had to make them. The dog is not small but he is a cute dog. I like how it turned out. I made his overalls myself not from a patterns but the lady has overalls too. She has another type of dog and a cat. I simple loved this dog so I just made him for now. I might make them later. It is from amigurumi today If I'm not mistaken. I also made this teddy, he is tiny but the colour I've used is not as nice. They use different yarn to make this small teddy but I think it is not strong enough. I thought it was cute. I am very selective in what I make I have to like them. It is also a free pattern but I'm afraid this one is in different language. I don't put wires and safety eyes in my toys lately. I don't know what I touched to make it in italics. Amigurumi dinosaurs

I will tell you how I came to make these dinosaur. I work outside and the weather was overcast so I had an umbrella with me and since it was windy I was looking for a place to put it . Where I work there are construction guys and are working on the road and traffic lights. There was a pipe stuck up and I put my umbrella there not knowing how deep it was. It was for the traffic lights. I was worried for those boys that will come and work there so I told someone about the umbrella being in there. He asked me where and he tried with his hands then stick then he went and got some wire from his car. I was at my work when I heard thank you behind me and voila it was my umbrella thanked him. That day ended up that way. when I saw him next I asked him whattype of beer he liked cause I owed him a couple he said "no don't want any" so I asked him if he had any kids he told me yes he had two boys. I said what do they like he told me dinosaurs. I told him I will see what I can do. i looked for some dinosaur patterns and in the meantime I made them both a beanie which they liked and wore. I still felt that I should make them dinosaurs any way  found these And I made them. The guy was so pleased I bet more then his boys he made me laugh he thanks me so many times. I felt great giving these dinos away when I made someone very happy. that is how and why I done them. My eldest daughter liked the brontosaur for her youngest. since then I made 3 long neck and 2 triceratops.  There is a way not to sew the legs so I did that. You pick up the exact stitches from the body. Ever for the horns I did that. They are free patterns from pinterest. long neck has a tutorial as well I didn't need it.

Amigurumi hippo blanket

I wanted to make the hippo blanket because I had an idea in my head. It didn't actually work as I wanted it to. The effect I wanted it to be didn't actual show. I like it better this way then just the head and hands. I work tight so I needed to work the blanket with a bigger hook. In a way it is safe for babies as they can' t get their little fingers hooked in it. I like the blue colours that I used and the pattern of the blanket. They are free from pinterest.com.  I like his little cute ears and head. Cute hippo pity it is not a little bit bigger. I embroidered the eyes, I think it is safer. Amigurumi Rabbit doll

This is a different language free pattern. You need to be experienced in crocheting to make this one. I wish to make a white one. I like the size of this doll. Where I didn't understand I used my knowledge. Like the boots finished different then mine. I think it was crab stitch but I did mine similar to picot but not exactly that. I also couldn't understand the first two rows of the dress so I made it as I know how. It actually look very similar. Sometimes I wish I can understand their languages there are some cute patterns out there. I make what I think I can do and leave the once that I think I can't do. In white it is nicer I think silly me I had white.

Lola

This amigurumi is from a video on youtube but I changed it so much that you can hardly tell it is from that pattern. Her body, head and hands are from the video. It is her eyes that were suppose to be very big and stuck with glue and I don't think that is safe for kids. I rather embroidered them and I also made a nose. I never separated the yarn for the hair so I will never do that again. I will have to separate the yarn at least in half. It looses strength when you separate the yarn into 4 so I will try in half at least. I added lashes as well. I liked how it turned up. I should try a bit of blush in her cheeks and knees she will look better.

 

Amigurumi ant

I love this amigurumi ant. It is not an English pattern. It is Russian I think but a free patttern too. I am sure there were some instructions which I couldn't understand so I used my logic of how I think it should be. This one I incorporated wires in the hands and feet. I embroidered the eyes as I tried to crochet them and they were turning out to be very big for the face. I saw one that had striped top it looked nicer then just plain colour yarn. I like the way his tongue is between his mouth. I have learnt new technic making this ant. I love how it turned out but if I make another one  will have  to put wires so it can hold itself better. Still very pleased with the result.

Amigurumi Molly doll

I have been seeing this Molly doll often enough to finally make one. I always seem to change it to make it my own. So I changed the eyes the dress and the beanie. I like the way it turned up. I also didn't make any wires so it is child safe. I also didn't make shoe laces. I love her face it turned out pretty good. You can give it a try ladies and put your mark like I did to make it your own. It is a free pattern from pinterest.

Amigurumi doll

I called this one a clown doll it is a pattern that I bought a couple of years ago. I wish it was larger and I had made another one like this one before. The pattern is easy to follow is pretty good to follow she has photo instructions. I think she is too short like me lol. I could have added more straight rows in the middles somewhere. If you look on pinterest you can find this doll and the lady who designed it,cause I can't remember exactly her name. I used different colour purples to use up some of my yarns. No wires so it will be safe for kids if you sew this doll properly.

Amigurumi doll

This time I followed a lady on you tube to make this doll. She called it bag charm doll or something within those words. I think she is Suwanna craft's room. She is a cute doll she made it out of cotton so her doll would be smaller then mine. I made mine out of acrylic yarn. Her hair is the first time I did it this way but no harm in trying new technics. I sometimes rather follow the pattern it is quicker then you tube. I decreased one row in her shoe I like it that way and a row of increase in her hat I thought it was coming out too big and it would have been. I also made different trim on the skirt then hers. In this doll I learnt how to attach her hair. I didn't attach the hat to the head.  Anyway good luck with yours if you have a go

Amigurumi Unicorn

Very popular these days for people to buy unicorn but I made one not too thrilled about it. I liked the sleeping unicorn, it is a free pattern. I am hard on myself I think it is not perfect. The feet might not be perfectly positioned and will annoy me. I have more white wool which I might make another look of a unicorn.I will have to find another free pattern. It is really good way to use some co,oured scraps of yarn for the mane and tail. I can't seem to find a toy big enough for a girl or boy to cuddle up they are always very small.
