I had bought some orange cotton yarn and I thought it would be enough to make a dress. I liked this dress. It has a button at the back making it easy to put it on. It is from a free you tube that I used before. It is an easy dress to make. It is for a three month old baby girl. I am glad to finish the yarn but I keep buying more. Just spent $50 worth of yarn, this way, I will never run out . what an addiction hobby. If you only knew how much I loved sewing before liking crochet. Now I can't stand sewing. I think it is not possible to like two things. It is one thing at a time.

Amigurumi Rabbit doll
This is a different language free pattern. You need to be experienced in crocheting to make this one. I wish to make a white one. I like the size of this doll. Where I didn't understand I used my knowledge. Like the boots finished different then mine. I think it was crab stitch but I did mine similar to picot but not exactly that. I also couldn't understand the first two rows of the dress so I made it as I know how. It actually look very similar. Sometimes I wish I can understand their languages there are some cute patterns out there. I make what I think I can do and leave the once that I think I can't do. In white it is nicer I think silly me I had white.

Cute toys
I made these for my etsy store I like to have variety of choices for all different ages. I liked making these toys and it was my own pattern. I can never write a pattern because when I see how people wrote their pattern looks rather complicated. You can tell they all different sizes I just make it as it comes I only count the amount of rows I did for the legs and arms. I make their clothes to fit each one. They are all cute and special, I hate to part from them. I put so much love into them. If someone else gets to enjoy them as much as I loved making them it is good enough for me.Thursday, 3 November 2016
Mrs Santa
Since it is close to Christmas, my youngest daughter wanted me to make her Mr and Mrs Santa. I searched and searched and couldn't find what I like. On revelry.com I found a nice Mr and Mrs Santa but the lady didn't make them available. A week or two after I searched, someone posted on facebook that Sue Pendleton had them available so that is where I got the pattern from. The pattern is different to what I am used to and when I had a read through I kind of gave up. At the end I thought I would give it a go and here it is Mrs Santa. I started Mr Santa when it's done I will show you. I had a ball of chenille that one of my daughters gave me last Christmas and I found use of it now. I did all the edging of the apron the skirt and on her boots. The ears came very good and very easy to make. Sue Pendleton did such a good job of them, I love how she did the hair, the mouth, and most of it. It never comes exactly like the picture I will never know why. I think she might look better with eye lashes. I added grey to the hair I thought it will look good. The apron is easy to make and the dress.

My very own amigurumi doll
I tried to make an amigurumi toy so I can write my first pattern. Mind you the draft I had for my toy wasn't at all the end of this doll. I have to try and make a pattern for this doll now. I actually didn't like her at first and also after I made her dress. I liked her with the hat. She looks pretty with that hat. The colours are green and red. It looks like there is white on the photo. I also did her hair thin I don't like it on her this thin. The legs and body are one piece. Twenty three centimeters long. If I manage to make the pattern I will be very happy.

My doll
I've been wanting to make a doll with my own pattern but I always loose the way. I start well and if I unpick that's it. I wanted to make it close to real as possible. I tried to make knees, elbows and chest. I still have to improve around the shoulders. It is not finished yet but I will let you see where I am up to. I still have to do more work to it. I have been working on it every night. I am still thinking how I want her mouth to look like. If I will attach the lips or embroider her lips. I need to do something about her shoes as well add purple and blue to it. I will glue some eye lashes to this doll too. She looks kind of angry with those eyes. I tried to sculpt her face I think I made her look worse.I always challenge myself in trying new stuff . It is not always successful. My dream is to make a pattern of my very own. Maybe I should try simpler toy. The problem with me is I am not creative at all but if I see something I can copy it. I still wish to come up with my cute little toy. I put eye lashes on and embroidered her lips. They came better then I expected. I should get a better needle for that kind of job. I also added frills to her socks and made shoes to match her dress. I know, I know head is bigger in proportion to her body but I wasn't going to make another head.

Lala-Oopsie doll
I started this few months ago and I wanted to finish what I started, this is also one of them. I stopped making it after I joined her up. I started different colour of hair and I wasn't sure of it so that is why I stopped. I didn't think it was going to look good so I always have a reason why I stop finishing them. I started on a dress pattern from Amigurumi BB and I changed it a little. I think red looks good for a dress with black trimming. I wanted to making striking colour for hair so I went for strong yellow. I would have finished it differently if I kept going on it few months back even though I looked at so many dolls for inspirations. I kind of made her hair like a blonde doll with a red ribbon but her dress is completely different than that doll. For the boots I also looked at another doll just to try it out. If you guys would like this doll it is from Amigurumi BB which I thank her so much for the patterns.

Elf doll
Trying to finish what I started here is my finished elf doll. When I am not satisfied up to my standard I usually not complete it. This is my weakness but I am trying to finish things so I can start on new project. I made two sets of ears as the patterns say but mine came too small so I made another set with two yarn and I stuck them on, not very happy that the ears came close to the face but I can never unpick my work I sew too good. I also should have used a smaller crochet for the body. I am a harsh critic for my work. I think I could have done better. I got the pattern from amigurumi bb she has many free patterns. She is very generous to share all her patterns for free. Good luck in making the elf girl I don't know if I ever try the elf boy now.

AmigurumiBB doll, my version
I made this doll from Vanja's patterns She made this doll very recent and she shared it for free isn't she the most generous, creative, kindest person in the world? I have been looking to make a doll that has moving hands and feet. I almost gave up and then I just saw this pattern.I had to make it. I had made a material doll with some help long time ago. I knew you attach something in the shoulders and thighs. I forgot how we did it but Vanja explains and shows photos how it's done. I changed the hand and did fingers. I like it to look as real as possible and kept going with her pattern I unpicked many times to continue with her rows but I managed at the end. The hair took a long time I split the wool into three strands and then insert it in each hole which seems forever. I don't know where this patience came from. I had trouble making the top so I made the dress myself making sure it fitted the doll. My daughter wanted me to make her lips so I tried. I think pink would have been better then red. I can draw good eyes but embroidering them is another thing. I still have to make shoes and an apron so the dress is not too plain i will add the photo when it is all done. I will make a male doll. Some pictures for you to see.

MY Oopsie doll
My oopsie doll I enjoyed making this doll very much. I loved making the curls it took a whole ball of yarn for it. I enjoyed making the skirt of the dress. The pattern was very easy to follow. It took me three days working strictly all afternoons. I am having trouble making the bow, would you believe it? I tried three times already. Haven't given up yet. I can always contact Vanja from Amigurumi BB, the generous lady, who made the pattern and share it. Isn't she wonderful. How I came to make this doll is I was looking to see how a type of her is done. I liked the hairdo of this doll and decided to do it. I love this doll her boots looks very nice. Here is a picture of my lovely Oopsie doll. I had trouble making her bow but managed after three attempts or four. You can never give up I guess on things.

My sleeping doll
My sleeping doll again without a pattern. So far I keep trying and see what I can come up with that is cute. I got inspired for this doll from the waldorf sleeping baby. I felted the eyes and lips. It is easier to do then embroider them. As you can see it is pretty basic for those who have done dolls before. I like making dolls and before I finish one thing I'm already thinking of what I'm going to do next. You will find out from the next photo I guess if you keep checking.

Peppa pig
Peppa pig, I started it on a pattern not quite know whose pattern is it. I ended up leaving it because I wasn't happy how the eyes came and left it there for weeks. Finally I decided to finish it. It is another TV character for very young children

Little doll
I made this lovely doll from Amigurumi BB. It wasn't hard to make easy to follow pattern. I did change the dress it was way too short for my doll. I continued increasing stitches according to her pattern and added another frill. I also wanted body to her hair so I added bangs Technic to about four rows from the bottom of the head. It is strange for me to leave her without a mouth and a nose. My girls said leave her to the child's imagination. So here is a picture of her.

Which era would you like
Which era would you have liked to live in? I personally like the clothes of gone with the wind. I believe they used them for going out to the ball, theater, visiting relatives and friends. For sure they couldn't eat much because of the corset. In summer they wore different clothing or will they? It would be so hard to go on trains, buses, cars and taxi in those large gowns. They had to use so much material to make a dress. They were very good seamstress to come up with all this styles. There are two photos one from gone with the wind the other one from these days. They still make them, these days for special occasions and brides. I like them very much, we might call them princess dresses.
Today's times, I think the Indian women dress up very stylish. I like the combination of colors they wear. The sari and the way they throw the scarf around their neck. I was told that the skirt is holding up with safety pins. Would' t it be embarrassing if it came undone. The lady told me occasionally it did happen. I think, what I truly like is for women to look nice in dresses. I am always in jeans because I find it comfortable.
