Mother Angelica
I found myself thinking about the loss of this nun her name is Mother Angelica. I found this nun through Fr Benedict Groeschel. I saw him the first time on my facebook page often during lent. One day I wanted to hear some good words from him and by chance saw Mother Angelica. I saw one of her video and I found her very funny and very knowledgeable. Mother Angelica reminded me of many good things I have learnt as a child and we might have forgotten them by now. Sadly I also found out that she passed away and that made me very sad now that I had discovered her but lucky for me there are many videos that she left behind. From what I gather she was an only child and her father left her and her mother. She suffered hunger. She also never dated. I love nuns as they did a lot of good with me as a child and I never saw anything wrong. I truly have love and respect for them and this nun, Mother Angelica is no less. I wish I knew her when she was alive but usually that is when I find good people. Like the American artist Bob Ross and also the munk I mentioned above. If you guys would like to see Mother Angelica's videos just type her name they will come up. She is a good source for the soul and peace of mind.

Colourful crochet blanket
I felt like I had lots of wool so I thought making a crochet blanket is a good idea. I had lots of colours that I thought I will not be able to use them on toys. I had already made another baby blanket with this pattern. I like this pattern as it is warm and looks nice too. It is very easy to make and there are lots of videos with this pattern. I always like to try new patterns and of course I have to like it too. Crochet blankets are fun to make as you don't have to concentrate all the time. I wanted to make this for a baby blanket but one of my daughters love the colours I chose and she wants it for herself. Here are the two blankets that I made and finished.

Favourite blanket so far
I made this blanket inspired by my sister. Her son got a blanket made like this one that I have made but with three colours only. She told me I bet you can do that if you see the photo of it, so she showed me her photos of the blanket. I had an idea how it was made but I wanted to MAKE SURE how it was made so I researched tartan blankets and sure enough it was how I thought it would be.There are videos of crochet tartan blankets. I looked at most of the tartan patterns and I tried to make it with my favourite colours. Here is my not done but almost done photos but you can see how it is. Give it a try it is such an accomplishment when you see it ready. I am going to give it to my youngest daughter. The first photo is how it looks at first when you are working on it and the second one is how it looks when it is finished.I think you all agree it looks amazing. Finally finished.

Baby blanket
I made this baby blanket for a girl for something different. I loved the pattern. I googled free crochet patterns and you could look on you tube how the pattern is done. The colours are like napoletan ice cream. I work tight and mind you I use a larger hook. I think it looks nicer when the design is larger. I made a border to finish it up and I think it looks nicer with it. Baby wraps are easy to make and it takes a while to finish it but it is very rewarding once it's done. Giving them as gifts is a nice thing. Anyway here is my blanket for a baby girl.

Amigurumi to go Elephants
Aren't these elephants as cute as? The large elephant is one of the first ones, I made. I was so happy with the result. Then my youngest daughter saw it and wanted me to make her one. I made a smaller one for her. Actually it is the same pattern the larger one is done with two yarns and the smaller one with one yarn. I found this pattern from Sharon Ojala. She has lots of free patterns and cute ones too. I need to make the sock monkey I did the other monkey that she has as well. She has the videos to follow with her patterns it is great for beginners. I keep trying to challenge myself into making more difficult ones. So why don't you give it a go it is fun and rewarding seeing the toy that you just made.
