Crochet Wayuu bag

I made this beautiful bag because the other one I made came a bit small. This is a very good size for a bag. It is called a wayuu bag and you can find a video tutorial for this bag. As always I change it to make it my own. I am going to give it to my youngest for Christmas. She hasn't seen it yet. The other one I made it into a bag pack this one you wear it over the shoulders or crossed at the front or back. My daughter would love these colours. You would think it is hard all these colour changes but it is not that hard. I used acrylic yarn.

Crochet blue basket

I made this basket to see if it holds. I made it with two strands of yarn to see how stiff it comes out. It holds but maybe I should you glue and water I think the formula is to stiffen it up. I don't like the sugar method it might bring ants is summer. I think I might experiment a little more with this basket idea. I also tried a design on it. I put a white insert as well. Let'see if my eldest daughter likes it. I need to try a rectangle or square basket too.

Amigurumi mermaid

Amigurumi mermaid, how this came about is my youngest daughter's friend had a baby girl and she ordered me to make her a mermaid. I searched for a nice pattern similar to what she liked and I came up with this one. I  slightly made her a larger head. My daughter doesn't want me to make her a mouth. It didn't take too long to make except for the hair part. I embroidered the eyes since it is for a baby. I like it how it turned up.The tail looks great. What I would change if I had to make another one is, I would make the top part longer so the bra fits nicer. Didn't put a rattle in it too.

Cowl hooded for boys and girls

I saw a lovely tutorial of this hooded cowl or whatever you want to call it on you tube. I make one black, grey and white for my grandson. It came very nice and I made more variations in blue and green. I like all of them. I might like the black, grey and white the most. I think they are one of my favourite things to make. Ears are attached on, the frog ears are filled with pillow fillings. Under the model there are the three more hooded cowls I made.  Kids will keep on these hats and I don't think they harm themselves with these. They look great on little boys or girls. It can also warm their neck. Hope you like them and give these a go. On the video it explains how to measure the head so you get the right measurements.

Colourful crochet blanket

I had lots of little bits of yarn so I wanted to find a way to use it. I looked for crochet designs and I found this one which I wanted to try. It is easy and looks very nice, I think you all agree. There is also a video of how this is made. This blanket was made from this you tube but they are varieties of this look. It looks nice from both ways back and front of the blanket. I still have little bits of yarn left as I wanted to make a whole row of the colour, though you can use at the start and at the end of it. Well it is nice and colourful I tried to match the colours as best as I know how. You should try this it is fun as a throw rug or baby blanket. I don't think I will put a boarder on it as I think it doesn't go. Not finished yet still working on it.  Here is my colourful blanket which  I think I will give it to my youngest daughter.

Wayuu bag amigurumi

I always seem to find something new to make and this time is a Wayuu bag. I thought it is going to be very difficult with changing all the yarn colours of but not so. I posted where I got the pattern from and as always I made it a little simpler for me. The kind of yarn I used was very thin so this resulted a smaller bag. I will make another one with two yarns instead of one so it will be bigger. I made mine like a backpack with two straps. It didn't take me long to make and the stitch is slightly different from single crochet. I like some patterns of the Wayuu bags but some looks very complicated. You should give this a go. I like making new stuff, it is exciting to see how it will turn up. Here is mine good luck with yours.

Amigurumi snowmen

Since it is close to Christmas I thought I will make somethings for the stall that I will be having next month at the market. I decided to make snowmen and I found a free pattern but I thought it is bigger then I wanted. I kept making them smaller so I made a second one, then a third. I still want it smaller so  I will try again. I would like to make crochet hands but I don't know if I can be bothered. I want to make it like stick hands. Sometimes I can't be bothered with sewing and then I end up doing blankets.

Amigurumi cat with skirt

I had to make new stuff for the market so I made this lovely cat similar to Mari-Liis Lille (lilleliis).
You can check out her website she is a very good designer and also has free patterns. I like how it turned up and I did end up selling this ONLY at the market. This lady wanted to pay only $10 for it which I priced it for $27 but I said no, sorry, then she went and came back after some time and told me I love that cat but I have to money to buy it mind you she had a stall. Then just before we closed up the shop here she comes again with short of change to $22 and then I said ok have it. It was a success I have to try and make another one but I never write down anything silly me. Here is the famous cat with a story by the way that lady came and passed by my stall many times checking to see if it was still there. She must have love cats but I need money too that is why I was there for.

Kids' beanies

I made these small beanies and vintage hats from patterns. They are small because I could have used the wrong ply yarn and hook. Most likely, I did but they are cuter anyway, pity I don't have any little girls in my family yet. I also bought that pink yarn which I regretted buying a day after. I thought to myself it is ugly I don't know why I bought it in the first place but I do like the result now. I like the pink vintage hats. So that could happen to you too, one day, where you hate your purchase of yarn but what you do with it it will be a great. The hats are from patterns but I did alterations to some because I saw them small and also extended the rows.I always learn something new. Here on these beanie I did those three rows it is fun to do that. I used the same technic for the other two hats. How that ribbon came about I searched  for crochet ribbons and it turned up. I also had to make the crab stitch on the ribbon which is new too for me.

How nice is the hat below I didn't know it looks that good. Seeing it on the model I love it. It is from a free pattern, I could have made extra rows if I saw it small and extended the increases of stitches. I will make another one with different colour of flower.

More headbands

I tried to make these headbands to take part in a market stall so I will have different kinds of stuff to sell. I did terrible but I don't think it was because my work was bad, it is because not many people turned up. I think this market is not very well known. To go where there are lots of people I need to have to pay public liability certificate. I don't think I have many things to sell yet at a big market. The other problem is that the toys with safety eyes are not good to sell either which I have many of those already. I think I have to come up with different things made of crochet since I like to crochet. These headbands I just saw a picture and I tried my own so no patterns sorry. Here are the pictures.

Beret

How these beret came about is I saw a handsome man wearing a lovely light brown beret. He looked great, so I thought I will make one for my grandson. I made one and came small so I kept making to see what size will fit him. It turned out he doesn't like wearing them. Since I have too many now I will sell them at a market. The pattern I used is from you tube, she has two videos, so if you type flat beret it turns up. It is easy to make she has a good tutorials. you don't need much wool either. Here are the pictures of my berets.
