Oven mittens
Oven mittens were actually my daughter's orders. She wanted these specific ones and her sister picked the material for her. It was a challenge to do, broke about five sewing needles in the process. Once I got the hang of it, didn't take me long to do. She happened to like them which makes me feel good. Made an apron to match. Sewing is great fun, when you have a sewing machine that works well. Anyway here is a picture of the stuff.
Some more pictures
I made the boats pictures with pastel colours. I was trying to copy from a picture in an old calender. I'm pretty pleased of these two pictures of how they turned out. I was giving up on the waves but when I chucked it on the floor I could see them. It took me about four hours to make each one. I since haven't done more in pastel. The third picture some of my friends can recognize it. It is a place i used to go swimming as a child. I am not really too pleased about this one I should have giving it another go. Well here they are.

Sorry some glare on this picture

Some of the paintings I've done
Hi, I always liked painting.I find it fascinating how they can create a picture out of paints and brushes on a blank canvas, don't you? I am a person that I like to know how things are made. I'm interested in a lot of things. I am a person who knows a lot of things but master of none. I started painting pictures by painting by numbers. You used to find nicer pictures to buy not these days though.I went for some lessons here ant they don't teach you anything they will help you out on what you don't know. I tried two classes. I should have kept trying to find better classes but I wanted to go close to home. I gave up and tried on my own and these are a few I've done.
Recycled baskets
I made the square basket out of magazine and the round basket out of newspaper. I really enjoyed doing these as I always wanted to know how weaving is done. It is an enjoyable hobby and you can make amazing things out of newspaper. Newspaper is very strong when you role them up and you can also colour them if you wish. You can find many videos to teach you how about this topic. I wish you would try it. The Technic is in rolling the paper well. Have fun Guys doing this one. Here is a picture of my baskets.

Thombliboo
From what I gather this toy is one of the Tombliboos. I had a hard time doing the head on this one. I had lots of spheres made up and I picked one that was in skin colour. It happened to be big but I used it anyway since my grandson is only one year old and he will not know the difference. When I put them next to each other I see many mistakes. I did crocheted the eyes as it is safer for a young child.
Makka Pakka
I made Makka Pakka for my grandson and future grand children. I didn't have any pattern for it. Trial and error. I hesitated to finish it as I found oblong head hard to do. I made one and it came a little too small. I'm happy with the finished toy. I find it very satisfying that it looks a bit like the toy I tried to imitate. Here is a picture of the toy I tried to make and my one.

My made up sloth
I made this sloth without a pattern. I made this for my daughter's birthday. She is madly about sloths.I took notes down it wasn't hard to do. She happened to like it which is nice. She reckons I made a very big snout NOT LIKELY TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE. I don't like to make the same toy. I am more interested how well it turns out. I like the challenge once lol.
