Rope basket

My daughter needs a basket for her keys so as usual I searched for a rope basket. I found a few that I like. I decided to try a few and after unpicking and unpicking because I started to make it round then unpicked to make it oblong then square in the end I ended up with a circle base. I decided to make one whatever it will look like it won't be perfect after my first try anyway. Well guess what my daughter liked it so I will make it larger with big opening since it is to put her keys in it. I made it out of  plastic rope and neon nylon rope and a hook. I didn't do it exactly like the tutorial that I watched but same technic. Now I see where I went wrong and I will try my best to do better. Here is a picture of my basket.

Handmade Crochet Wayuu bag

I told you that this is not my last handmade Wayuu bag, infect here is another bag. There is a little difference in this bag the way I worked every single crochet is the proper way is suppose to be done. Also it is a bag pack. I made it different for my kids though. You only have to concentrate on the back the rest is easy at least for me. This is made from a graph that I found on pinterest, my favourite web sight after facebook. I just love to see new things that people post and get some ideas from there. I wasn't aware but some Wayuu bases have different stitch numbers. This one everything went well. My favourite colours that I always seem to be attracted to are browns mustard orange light brown aren't they Mexican colours.
I know the colour black grey versions and white go well together too. I will be doing some with those colours. Here is my latest bag so far. Do you like it? I will be selling these on Etsy. Check out my Etsy store

Crochet purple blanket

I started this blanket as a mandala rug. I had a problem going around it was increasing too many stitches. So had to unpick many rows and started to go more like a square blanket. I love the colours I used and I was trying new stitches along the way. There is a nice blanket tutorial which I would love to give that a go one day. I am in love with wayuu bags at the moment. I am enjoying making bags. I did waist some colours that I had which is good. blankets do the longer to finish so a bit boring to be working on the same thing for some time. Anyway time to say till next time. Cheerio

Amigurumi larger rabbit

I wanted to make a cuddly rabbit so kids can hug to sleep with but it is not as big as I wished it to be. I made it from this free pattern. It was fun to make, I like his face and head. I made the dress from a  real premature baby dress. I actually didn't do the feet like hers, I had trouble following what she meant so I hope you will do better then me. Mind you, when my eldest grandson who is 2 years and 10 months saw the bunny, he  asked me if it was for him. I of course told him if he likes it he can have it. My reason for making all the toys is because of him. I never got stuck with a craft for this long. It seems I can't put it down. On Sundays I don't crochet, I research what I like and what I might want to make from pinterest. I usually like sewing, knitting, painting, I give anything a go because I am curious if I can make it. I still find my hooks enjoyable. I actually thought that you use more yarn in knitting but I read recently then in crochet you use more.  Here is my bunny. sorry about my bad pictures.

Amigurumi,crochet Wayuu bag

I have three daughters and this bag I made for my third daughter. I tried to add black grey white and turquoise since they are fashion colours. I found an easy pattern graph to do. This bag came out on the big size I would say. I turned this bag into a backpack, it is still a wayuu style. It is suppose to be worked on the back loop only but I work on two loops of the stitch for strength. I would have like for the grey to be lighter grey but you can't always find the colours you wish. It turned out to be a nice bag it will come very handy for my daughter. I like making bags you don't have to concentrate about increasing stitches just work on the pattern. I like making toys but I also like making bags. I used to like sewing but crochet took over. You can almost see what I am working on now.
