Another Wayuu, Mochilla bag

I love making these bags there is not much sewing involved. It is the same colours as my other one but different pattern. These bags seems more complicated then they really are but the result is amazing. I made different cord and I am getting better at making tinsels. I also made the straps a little wider. I will try and sell this bag on etsy it is made as a bag pack so more useful. This pattern could be much simpler but I always wants to see how it turns out first the I can change it if I like. most likely I will make another different pattern. It gives me such satisfaction when I see it all done. Well here is my bag.

Hairpin lace blanket

I found this new craft and I am always very tempting to try it out. I made a baby blanket I actually thought I would finish it quicker then I did.  You need a hairpin lace loom and a crochet hook to do this. I bought three hairpin lace loom the first one broke and the second one was the same as the first but made of metal but the third one is the best, it is made of metal and longer so it gives you plenty of room to count the stitches. That was the boring bit counting the stitches both sides and loose count and then you have to start again. You can be creative of making the rows wider or narrower as you please. I put a border too but  I found it harder to do the two sides. There are many videos to show you how it is done. So good luck if you give it a try.

Baby's shorts and hat

Hi guys, I was quick to come up with something this time. I crocheted a short and a hat for my little grandson. I checked on some patterns and videos and I managed to make a set over night. I wanted it to be like a sailor suit. I didn't manage to make a top though if I find a pattern I can easily make one. I like white with dark blue trimmings. I would have added an anchor but my daughter didn't like it. It is more like a costume so she can take a baby photo in them. Here is a photo of them sorry no patterns.

Ring cushion

My daughter asked my to make her a ring cushion for her wedding and to buy it was $30 or more. I can make it for much less money and it will be original. I bought some satin material, delicate lace if I may say so Two different sizes of white satin ribbons and a lovely heart brooch  to go in the center of the cushion. I enjoyed making this cushion I made it 8 by 8 inches. I joined the lace from the middle because the lace I bought was about 3 inches or so and I wanted the edges to look like the picture. I centered one thin ribbon and one wide ribbon before I pinned well. The ribbons were as wide as my cushion which was 8 inches.ans sewed the cushion all around except for a  gap of 4 inches or so. I inserted some polyester filling and sewed by hand the opening neatly. Done a nice size wide ribbon for the top and added the brooch in the middle too. I also put a thin ribbon for the rings. So from the back you can see a thin ribbon to stick your hand to hold the cushion. I really like how it came. It looks more expensive then the ones I saw at the shops. Material wise and all. I am very pleased with the finish look.

Decorating candles sticks

I decorated these wedding candles sticks with lace and ribbon. I also added a band of lovely thingy I don't even know what it's called. My daughter showed me a picture of how she wanted them more or less. I bought some ribbon and lace of her chioce of colour. I used hot glue to stick everything together according to how I wanted the look. Also what I did burn the ends of the ribbon slightly without leaving black burn. I also bought lovely buttons and I used pliers to cut the loop so it sticks flat more. Here is a picture of my candles sticks it was really fun to make. A closer look before I added the ribbon on.
